Pastoralist Child Foundation (PCF) works to end harmful practices that affect girls and women in rural Kenya. Human rights violations such as female genital mutilation (FGM) and forced early marriage are deeply rooted in the highly patriarchal communities of Samburu and Maasai Mara, Kenya. Sexual and reproductive health & rights workshops, and community dialogues are facilitated at the grassroots level. Support and mentorship for women’s self-help groups are also provided for women starting their own businesses. The PCF scholarship program provides full financial assistance for students attending secondary boarding schools and universities. Soccer and volleyball tournaments for girls are held to advance the advocacy efforts of our organization.
