Filament Foundation (formerly Newburgh Creates Foundation) strengthens art, design, and technology education by supporting the organizations that provide it. We help partner‑run programs grow so more people can access, participate in, and benefit from hands‑on learning. Through grants, scholarships, curriculum support, and community partnerships, we help opportunities remain accessible and sustainable in Newburgh.
Our process is simple and iterative. We observe what’s happening in partner programs, listen to requests, and co‑design a practical plan. We direct flexible funding to the highest‑need items—added seats, materials, laptops and software, scholarships, and curriculum time. After each cycle, we review results with partners and adjust our support to maximize impact.
